Known nationally for his expertise in strategic planning, Rod formulates effective strategies for change emphasizing innovative funding opportunities, strategic partnerships, prototype facilities, technology integration, and collaborative resource management.

Rod has more than 40 years of experience in higher education planning and administration, including 17 years at the University of California, Los Angeles. He is a frequent speaker at national and regional conferences. Rod is a past-president of the Society for College and University Planning, is Executive Editor of Planning for Higher Education, and is the author of Charting a New Course for Campus Renewal.

Sal has over 30 years of experience in various positions in higher education, including president. He has been active on the national scene and is the Society for College and University Planning 2008-2009 president-elect. He provides advice and counsel to leaders who want to move their institutions to higher levels of distinction and competitive advantage.

Sal’s areas of expertise include identifying new opportunities; developing unique programs; academic entrepreneurship; creating strategic alliances; building stronger ties with the community; and identifying funding strategies.

Doug is a development strategist, architect, and advisor to leaders seeking to take advantage of opportunities to create more distinctive and competitive environments. He discovers and develops win-win scenarios and is often called to advocate these strategies with Boards, leadership, and community groups.

He has 25 years of comprehensive program development experience in higher education and health care and is a specialist in integrating campus and facility planning with strategic planning and positioning; and implementation planning, which includes funding strategies.

Jennifer conducts research to identify forces, trends, and best practices in higher education. She plays a key role in working with project teams to translate the results of research findings into actionable initiatives that will create distinction and competitive advantage.

Jennifer has 10 years of on-campus experience, predominently in student development. Her research, publications and presentations focus on factors affecting student success including linking in- and out-of-classroom experiences — student activities, residence life, internships, etc. — into a coherent learning process.

Wayne brings more than 30 years of experience in space planning and research at colleges and universities. His background includes responsibilities in institutional research; space management, research and planning; and computer simulation modeling.

Wayne’s areas of expertise are developing interactive space data bases, space analysis, identifying facilities needs and problem-solving strategies, facilities programming, identifying funding sources for capital projects, and preparing strong justifications for federal, state and private funding.

Judith is a specialist in project management, communication, and making necessary strategic connections between various aspects of a complex project to weave them into a coherent whole.

With strong expertise in technology and communication tools she provides valuable assistance to project researchers by summarizing and compiling complex data and establishing tools that can be used to keep everyone informed on the status of multifaceted projects.
