The University of Michigan,
Dearborn called
STRATUS to assess the opportunity
of limited-time offer to
purchase Ford Motor
Company's 300,000 SF
corporate training
headquarters. Within one
month,
STRATUS met with
campus academic and
administrative leaders,
performed quantitative
and qualitative assessments of the Center, identified existing and new
program candidates for inclusion, analyzed current classroom
utilization, developed alternative program use and development
scenarios, synthesized a common vision, quantified the space needs,
estimated the cost of each scenario including the cost of secondary
projects, articulated alternative funding and purchase negotiation
strategies, and developed a report of the findings. The resulting "case
statement" helped secure over $55 Million in state funding for
acquisition of the Center and implementation of secondary projects.
