STRATUS provided full project management services beginning in Schematic Design. Through STRATUS’ cost, estimating and value engineering efforts, the project was built with significant savings. STRATUS also provided contract administration, contractor prequalification and multiple-bid package coordination. The project was financed through a combination of City of Irvine, University of California, Irvine and private sector funds. Leading roles were played by a partnership of these civic, educational and development entities in an arrangement unique to this type of cultural endeavor. STRATUS successfully maintained strong working relationships with all major parties involved in the design and construction process.
